Logan is located in northern Utah, 85 miles north of Salt Lake City. It is the largest city in Cache Valley. There are almost 50,000 residents. Logan is home to Utah State University and Bridgerland Applied Technology College. Residents enjoy outdoor activities with over 30 parks, 2 golf courses, a swimming pool complex, a zoo and hiking trails. Summer activities include a gardeners market, Utah Festival Opera, Top of Utah Marathon, Latojo bike race to Jackson Hole, Summer Fest Art Faire and the Cache County Fair and Rodeo. Winter activities include sledding on Old Main Hill, skiing at Beaver Mountain, skating at Merlin Olsen Park and snowmobiling. Many consumer goods are created in Logan, from exercise equipment to world class amusement rides. Wnderful cheese and other dairy goods are produced locally. The Logan Metropolitan area was awarded one of the safest place to live in 2006.
